On Monday night (Aug. 22nd) the world of music lost a legend. Nick Ashford of the legendary singing-songwriting duo Ashford & Simpson lost his battle with throat cancer. He was 70 years old. I know the husband and wife team from their hit song "Solid As A Rock", but they were responsible for classic songs that were before my time such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".
He will be missed.
