Shaq Says Goodbye
Shaquille O'Neal, 39, the NBA's oldest active player made his retirement official Friday (June 3rd), reiterating what he revealed in a video posted to Twitter two days earlier that his NBA playing days are over. "Never thought this day would come," O'Neal said. "Father Time has finally caught up with Shaquille O'Neal."
He insisted he will not return, nor will he coach anyone but his three sons. His career ends with 28,596 points, 13,099 rebounds, 15 All-Star selections, four championships and three NBA Finals MVP awards.
Happy trails Shaquille a.k.a Shaq, a.k.a Superman, a.ka. Shaq-tus, a.k.a The Big Aristotle, a.k.a The Big Conductor, a.k.a The Big Leprechaun, a.k.a Shaq-Fu, a.k.a Shaq Diesel, n.k.a The Big AARP.
