The NBA Finals is set

There will be a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals as the Miami Heat use an 18-3 run to close out the Chicago Bulls in five games in the Eastern Conference Finals 83-80 on Thursday night (May 26th). The Heat join the Dallas Mavericks, who used their own comeback power in consecutive games against the Oklahoma City Thunder to clinch the Western Conference on Wednesday night (May 25th).

Closing out games has been the Achilles heel of the Heat all season, but LeBron James and Dwyane Wade used a barrage of 3 point shots, each one deadlier than the last, sucking more and more life out of the United Center.

The Heat were expected to get to the NBA Finals once they put their super team together. Anything less would have been a disappointment.

Now we will see if they can finish the job against a 7 foot German playing out of his mind.
