Donovan McNabb dropped to third string quarterback

No one saw this coming! Heck, many never knew veteran QB Donovan McNabb would be the odd man out in Philadelphia either. One trade to the Washington Redskins and what was to be a fresh start for McNabb has turned into a nightmare that has pushed Albert Haynesworth's grievances with the team to the back burner.
McNabb has been struggling in coach Mike Shanahan's system, but McNabb has earned enough stripes in the NFL not to be disrespected like this. Rex Grossman will start this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and apparently for the rest of the season. McNabb signed a 5 year $78 million contract extension on November 14th, but the Redskins can release McNabb after this season without paying a dime of that money to McNabb.

Shanahan also threw proverbial salt in the gaping wound by saying "I also told him it is not guaranteed he would be here next year".
Ouch. Where is the love?
