I am happy for Kobe Bryant. He exorcised some demons with this championship. He can respond to Shaq's criticism , but Shaq already beat him to it. "Shaq, tell me how my a** taste".
Kobe is still not Michael Jordan. Did anyone else notice Kobe celebrate by leaping in the air and flailing his arms the same way Michael Jordan did after every championship?
Maybe it's just me. Just be Kobe.

Taps
I was getting my haircut recently and I saw two guys playing taps outside the window. Brought back memories.
For the uninformed, Taps is a game played usually with a basketball in a circle of people. The goal is to keep the ball in the air. When the ball is passed, the person receiving the pass has to jump in the air, catch the ball and keep it up. If your feet are on the ground, the ball has to be in the air. If the ball is in your hands, your feet have to be off the ground. To eliminate others the idea is to throw a pass that is hard to catch.
Reminds me of my old stomping ground in Brooklyn (Snyder Ave and 32nd Street).

Lebron storms off
I know I took a while on this, but while LeBron James should have at least shook Dwight Howard's hand after being sent fishing for the summer, I kind of understand his frustration. He was playing one on five out there. After winning 66 games and sweeping the first two rounds of the playoffs, his supporting cast all but vanished on both ends of the floor. It seemed like Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu was in shootaround in that series.
On the other hand, LeBron has to take the loss like a man. The Detroit Pistons, those proud veterans of the six straight seasons making at least the Eastern Conference Finals, stuck around to shake hands without winning a game. The Atlanta Hawks shook hands. No excuse.
Does this heartbreaking loss bring LeBron to NY back into reality? Absolutely. The Knicks have to be smart and show they can play defense.
On another note, those puppet commercials are hilarious. Lil' Dez got some rapping skills to boot.
There will be no Dwight Howard puppet because he is not signed to Nike. He is with Adidas. "Superman" will learn, Kobe did.
What's this Shaq goign to the Cavs? Please. Stop gap. LeBron is thinking long term. Shaq has a season or two left.
