Shout out to East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The prodigal son is returning to the essence. Canarsie was cool for three years, but...
What is the exact science behind a Men's NCAA Tournament bracket? I don't know why I waste my time filling one out. If I were a gambling man, I would be in "Giant"-sized debt (fans of the film "Mo' Betta Blues" know what I am talking about) right now. It is a crap shoot. Louisville losing to Michigan State, Pitt bowing to Villanova, Memphis not even making the Elite 8 and obliterating my bracket in the process. At least I have UNC winning it all, so I am right there with Barack Obama.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking good. If the Cavs happen to win the championship, will LeBron even come to The Knicks in 2010? They could be preparing to clear all this cap space for nothing. Talking about getting LeBron and Dwyane Wade that summer, the Knicks haven't had two superstars on their team at the same time since 1973 (the last time they won a championship); and don't gimme Patrick Ewing and Joh Starks in circa 1992-1995.
Speaking of LeBron, I can't get over that insurance commercial with the Kid N' Play CD. The Kid N' Play kick step was one the most underrated Hip Hop dances ever.
And the air photographer schitck is better than the powder in the air ritual.

Back for '09
Happy New Year, and good riddance to Winter (even though Spring came in with a nice snow storm in New York). I am back from my "blog-atus" or blog hiatus. A lot of things have happened so far this year, the most obvious being the "Chrihanna" situation (who started blending celebrity names anyway? Horrible move).
My take on abusive relationships is this, no man should hit a woman for any reason. A female can hit a man only if she caught him doing something that could jeopardize her emotional and physical health (cheating with another woman or, even worse, another man - then she could kill him... j/k). Otherwise, ladies should keep their hands to themselves. If you have to consistently hit your man, you need to leave the situation because it is unhealthy. Good for Rihanna for finally leaving Chris.
Chris is 19! He has a lot of nerve beating on any female at his age. Sure he saw domestic violence growing up, but, think about it... he allegedly beat up Rihanna because she got mad at him for getting an alleged booty call from someone he was sleeping with during their relationship.
I would feel a little sympathy for him if photos didn't come out of him jet skiing and smiling in Miami. A little remorse? Just a smidgen? Please?
Rihanna has split, for now. Some women don't get a chance to walk away.
Now on another topic:
I thought Barack Obama was hilarious on The Tonight Show on Thursday night. I thought at the moment he made the Special Olympics comment in reference to his bowling was not malicious in intent. Upon further review I can see where the Special Olympics people would be up in arms, but NO ONE ELSE.
Come On! The "uproar" over this screams watchdog group.
It was like Republicans and Obama detractors were glued to the television waiting for something they can criticize. Lord knows they got on him for filling out an NCAA bracket on Sportscenter. The man is a human being. Must everything he does be political? Plenty of Republican Congressman have shown they use plenty of leisure time in bathroom stalls, with Pages, and women not their wife, etc. Can Obama have an interest in sports and focus on the economy at the same time?
I guess not.
Just my thoughts ladies and gentlemen...
