I hope Black people are getting behind Obama because they feel he can genuinely foster change in the country and not because he is Black. I just had this vision of the racial divide that overshadowed the OJ trial. It got to a point where Black folks didn't care if he was guilty, they just wanted a Black man on trial for allegedly killing two white people to get off. Obama is a marvelous orator who gives a real sense of hope for the country that crosses racial boundaries. Still there are no doubt some ignorant people that believe Obama winning the presidency is sticking it to the White man. That would be plausible if that was the shit Obama was shoveling, but there are a sea of white people, smiling white people, at all his speaking engagements.

Totally off topic: remember when OJ was a sideline reporter for NBC football? That seems so long ago...

its like how you like it when serena or venus wins or breaks more records.. you kinda feel like, "thats another leve of tennis right there that is good for the game".. but in addition, a part of me still feels good cus there is nothing these pink toes can do about it.. as much of some of them hate on the williams.. (and they still do)

same thing with obama.. hes a great orator, very talented, and a different kinda political figure, or at least seems to be.. but i also feel like its one giant leap for black-kind...lol
